Mouldcheck Barrier2 should be applied to prepared substrates after the application of Mouldcheck Sterilizer or Mouldcheck Sterilizer2 and before redecoration. It starts working straight away, guarding against the re-germination of mould growth vestige, which if left unchecked would affect the binding and long term efficacy of decorative finishes leading to their breakdown and the regrowth of mould.
Step 2. Using Mouldcheck Barrier2
Uses: Walls, ceilings and masonry surfaces.
Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be cleaned and sterilized using Mouldcheck Sterilizer2. Remove all loose and friable material and repair to a smooth finish. Key/etch non porous finishes, rub down and prepare all other surfaces.
Dilution: 1 part Mouldcheck Barrier2 to 4 parts water.
Application: Using a paint brush apply Mouldcheck Barrier2 to the whole area of infection; extend the treatment 1 metre in all directions. Apply 2 coats to areas of heavy infection or outside walls. (Do not spray).
Coverage: Do not exceed 10 square metres per litre.
Drying time: Normal drying time is 1-2 hours; this may vary depending on environmental conditions. Ensure good ventilation at all times.
Equipment care and cleaning: Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.
Limitations: This product should only be applied when environmental conditions are conducive to decorating standards.
