BIOTECH SPECIFICATION FOR THE ERADICATION OF INTERNAL MOULD

A unique three step system for the Eradication of Mould in Dwellings.

All steps must be carried out to eradicate the mould and prevent regrowth.

Step 1  ERADICATION OF MOULD - MOULDCHECK Sterilizer 2

Wash down mould infected surfaces with Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2 diluted with four parts of clean warm water using a sponge, brush or cloth. Extend the treatment one metre in all directions and beyond any visible signs of mould infection.  If the solution becomes dirty change for a new solution.  Do not exceed 10 square metres per diluted solution.  Allow to dry.

Affected Carpets should be rolled back then wash down floor surface with Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2. Thoroughly wash the under side of carpets with a suitable detergent and allow to dry.

Wallpapered surfaces - should be washed down with Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2 solution prior to stripping.  Bag up wallpaper, seal and remove from the premises immediately.  Wash the wall surface again using Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2 and allow to dry.

Preparation.

Prepare all surfaces: Scrape off all loose or flaking paint and rub down to a sound surface, etch any gloss painted surfaces with glass paper to form a good key for the new decorative finish.  All preparatory work should be carried out prior to applying Mouldcheck Barrier 2.

STEP 2 – APPLICATION OF FUNGICIDAL BARRIER - MOULDCHECK BARRIER 2

Using a brush apply one coat of diluted Mouldcheck Barrier 2 (dilute with 4 parts of clean water).  Extend the treatment one metre in all directions beyond the areas of infection and allow to dry.  Do not exceed 10 square metres per diluted litre.  Ensure all areas are treated especially corners and junctions.  Where heavy infection was present apply a second coat and allow to dry prior to proceeding to Step 3.   If staining or efflorescence is present apply one coat of a proprietary surface sealer.

STEP 3 – DECORATIVE FINISH

EMULSION – Apply 2 coats of Biocure Emulsion by brush or roller at a coverage of

10 – 12 square metres per litre.  It may be necessary to dilute the first coat, if this is required dilute to maximum of 10% clean water.

WALLPAPER FINISH – Add 2 Biotech Fungicidal Additives per 5 litres of wallpaper paste or size and mix in well.  Lining papers and embossed papers should have Biotech Fungicidal Additives mixed into the paste as per instructions on the container, and then apply 2 coats of Biocure Emulsion as above.

GLOSS FINISH – for metal windows, metal windows, etc

See step 1, clean down and remove any mould contamination.  Rub down previously painted surfaces with glass paper to form a good key.  Then apply two coats of proprietary brand water based gloss paint mixed with Biotech Fungicidal Additives as per instructions on the label.

Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2:   Description:  A Water based concentrate.  Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2 is a powerful mould killer that leaves surfaces clean and safe.

Uses: On all hard internal surfaces (walls, floors, ceilings, tiles, window frames etc.).

Dilution: 1 part Mouldcheck Sterilizer 2 to 4 parts of clean warm water.

Coverage: As required to remove mould growths. Do not exceed 10 square metres per litre of diluted product.

Drying time: Normal drying time is 1-2 hours; this may vary depending on environmental conditions.

Packaging: 1 and 5 Litre containers and as part of the 'New Mould Control Pack 10 and Mould Eradication Kit'

Mouldcheck Barrier 2 Description. A Water based concentrate. Mouldcheck Barrier 2 is a priming coat that seals, bonds and protects surfaces.

Uses: On all hard internal building surfaces (walls and ceilings etc.).              

Dilution: 1 part Mouldcheck Barrier 2 to 4 parts clean warm water.

Coverage: Do not exceed 10 square metres per litre of diluted product.

Drying time: Normal drying time is 1-2 hours; this may vary depending on environmental conditions.

Packaging: 1 and 5 litre containers and as part of the Mould Control Pack 10, Mould Control Pack 50 and the Mould Eradication Kit'.

Biocure Emulsion (For Amateur and Professional Use)

Description A premium quality vinyl silk or vinyl matt emulsion providing excellent obliteration, drying to a hard micro porous finish.

Uses: On hard internal building surfaces such as walls and ceilings.

Dilution: Do not dilute unless the surface to be painted is absorbent. (See application instructions for details)

Coverage: 10-12 square metres per litre depending on surface porosity and texture.

Drying time: Normally dry and re-coatable after 2-4 hours.

Packaging: 2.5 and 5 litre container.
